what we do
Jesus Cares works within some of the most deprived communities in South Wales to provide practical support to families living in poverty and deprivation.

In fact 84 of the areas that we work within are in the top 150 most deprived areas in Wales.
​
We supply provisions to a partner network comprising of over 200 community and social care agencies, where professional expertise is utilised to distribute help to the most vulnerable in our communities.

how we do it
From our warehouse in Newport, we receive articulated lorries of food/supplies which we then prepare and package ready to be delivered to our partner organisations.
We receive 100's of tonnes of surplus products each year from multi national suppliers / manufacturers / retailers plus we distribute donations from local businesses and members of the public. Through the redistribution of surplus or unwanted products the project is a positive alternative to landfill and external recycling by helping national companies/ public reduce their negative environmental impact.

Jesus Cares is a Big Lottery Funded project, and this support has enabled us to expand our work throughout South Wales.
